Esker Central Tent Pole Base

Anyone who's set up a hot tent in deep snow knows the frustration of a centre pole that sinks and throws off the whole pitch, and this simple Canadian-made solution fixes that problem cleanly.

When a centre pole is pushed into deep snow pack, it can sink below the surface and leave your tent undersupported at the peak. The traditional workaround is a chunk of split firewood underfoot, which works but isn't exactly refined. The Esker pole base is a purpose-built aluminium plate that spreads the pole's load evenly across the snow surface, keeping it right where it needs to be. Bent edges grip the snow to prevent shifting or sliding under tension, so the base stays put even as the tent fabric pulls tight overhead.

At just 244 g, it adds almost nothing to your pack weight and tucks away easily with the rest of your tent kit. Like all Esker products, it's designed and made right here in Canada.
